Oh yes, by the way, we moved!

Some of you might have already heard that we moved - yes, just slightly over a month ago. We've been very busy since and haven't got a chance to take photos of the place to show you until this evening. I walked into the Drawing Room and the lighting was just right and the flat was relatively tidy, so I thought to myself "no time like the present!" :-) You can tell from the photo that our old flat fits right into the living (oops I meant "drawing") room and dining room combined! Just in case you forgot, you can find pictures of our old flat from an earlier blog entry (about a year ago). So, here it is....

Buongiorno!

aaahhhh....Rome! Yes, we visited Rome for 4-5 days last week. What can I say...it's was one of the most enlightening experience. We walked, and walked, and walked till our feet were about to fall off. We ate pizzas and pastas and gelato everyday!!

It was a very humbling experience when we realised that we were walking on the grounds that the apostle Paul had walked on two thousand years ago. We saw ruins and remains that dated back to Jesus' time, sometimes older! Wow.

Sant' Ignazio di Layola - the church was built by Cardinal Ludovisi in 1626 in honour of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus and the man who most embodied the zeal of Counter Reformation.

Pinocchio dolls everywhere! How cute....I suppose since he was carved from a piece of pine by a woodcarver named Geppetto in a small Italian village...it only made sense.

Day #3

Scala Santa - the holy staircase. The 28 steps, said to be those that Christ ascended in Pontius Pilate's house during his trial, are suppose to have been brought from Jerusalem by St. Helena, mother of the Emperor Constantine.












Piazza Di Spagna - Spanish Steps (Spanish Steps) + shopping (break from sight seeing!)+a visit to high-end Italian Mickie D




















Day #4

Dylan started the Day with a traditional haircut from a fine old Italian man who do not speak a word of English! Haircut style was communication by mere hand gestures! Very brave of Dylan! The man spent a good 10 minutes (includes talking time) perfecting the old style parting (see picture)!

Pit Stop in Dublin (transit) for 5 hours....so we roamed around Dublin and met up with a friend.








Malaysian restaurant in Dublin??? Dublin has come a long way since I last visited it about 5 years ago!
